I had been debating about getting a tattoo & was excited to find something I knew would always have meaning to me. I showed my mom this Mother-Daughter tattoo & we made it our own with a few changes. Now she is always hugging me, protecting me & bound in love through the grace of Christ. As I travel to Argentina for 4 months, we may not be seeing the same stars or experiencing similar weather but we both can look near our hearts for comfort. Love you, Momma

We are step-sisters... Bound not by blood but by love!

I got this tattoo because in junior high my youth group leader at my church showed me this verse which is, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Ever since then I have always remembered this verse when I feel like I can't do something or feel like something is too hard. I thought about it for a long time and then decided to get this tattoo when I was 18. It is a daily reminder that Christ is always with me.

I got this tattoo in memory of my brother, Kale, who was killed in a car accident in Dec. 2000. The letters represent his initials and then his birth year and death year are on either side. Kale was my big brother, my only brother, and best friend. I got this tattoo before my 1st college basketball season. As the announcer called my name during starting lineups, I would tap my tattoo twice then point up to the sky, letting Kale know that I knew he was with me each and every game.

I made the heartbreaking decision to cut ties with my father because it was more painful to have a relationship. As a kid my dad played 'Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle on repeat and those were happier times. I tattooed it to myself as a reminder that I am my dad's daughter & he will always be my father no matter what. Free Fallin: I love Tom Petty. For years I was totally unstable with finances, housing, what state I was living in. I constantly felt like I was free falling into nothing.

I was born and raised as a Christian. I was in High School, junior English class & instead of taking notes I was drawing crosses & writing Bible verses. I drew one cross with the heart in the middle and loved it, so once school was dismissed on my way to work I brought my notebook to a tattoo shop & said can you quickly tattoo this to me? I have to be at work in 30 minutes. I got it and went to work.

Not because I live in the best city in the world, Los Angeles, but because my best friend Luke Akao (LA) was driving his motorcycle home from our friend Heather's birthday party in Hollywood and crashed his motorcycle and died on Beverly & Rossmore in Los Angeles. All of his friends got his initials tattooed to us.

My first & favorite! I had this done on my 18th birthday in memory of my best friend (Kale) who died our freshman year of high school. He and I were inseparable... brothers! In football we were unstoppable, he wore 33 and I was 36! The tribal thorn band goes around my arm & represents a piercing eternal bond, in the middle is 33 for Kale! A never ending bond with me and my long lost but not forgotten friend who will always be by my side! Miss ya buddy, until that day!
